June Piper, 88, of Monmouth, IL passed away at 6:13 am, Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at OSF Sat. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, IL
June was born December 18, 1930 in Kentucky, the daughter of Clarence and Emily Cornett. She was raised and educated in Kentucky.
June married Harry Piper in 1951 and he passed away in 1973.
June worked as a nurse for many years, lastly working at Pinewood Nursing Home in Monmouth.
She was a member of the Four Square Bible Church in Monmouth. She loved going to church and her faithful companion, Jackson.
Survivors include her sons, Perry (Barb) Piper of Monmouth, IL and Steve Piper of Perkin, IL; her 7 grandchildren, Billy (Karla) Hager, ShyVel Piper, Shanna (Jesus) Urbina, Nisha (Jarod) Spangler, Toby (Amber) Piper, Ty Piper and Bobbi Piper; her 11 great grandchildren, Alassandra Arteaga, Marisela Arteaga, Deacon Spangler, Killian Spangler, Grayson Spangler, Sterling Hager, Sutton Hager, Bryleigh Piper, Dominic Piper, Carina Piper, and Kendra Piper; 15 brothers and sister,; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Chris Piper and granddaughter, Melissa Piper.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Friday, February 8, 2019 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Interment will be in Monmouth Cemetery. No visitation hours are planned.
