Mrs. Mary Icenogle-Leafgreen, 92, formerly of Rio, Illinois died 2:43 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2019, at Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, Illinois.

She was born April 13, 1927, in Galesburg to Edmund Charles and Anna Maria (Nelson) Weech.  She married Gene Moody July 14, 1946, in Oneida, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1991.  She then married Harold D. Icenogle on May 5, 1989.  He preceded her in death in 1998.  She later married Richard W. Leafgreen on August 11, 2008.  He preceded her in death on August 1, 2015.

Surviving are two sons, Dennis (and Kathy) Moody of Porter, Texas, Darrell (and Jan) Moody of East Peoria, Illinois; a daughter, Dianna (and David) Bainter of Galesburg; a sister, Lou Ann Johnston of Altona, Illinois; a sister-in-law, Ann Weech of Galesburg; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Charles Weech and Willis Weech, and a sister, Genevieve Wilcox.

Mary graduated from Oneida High School in 1945 and attended Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois.  She worked in the accounting department at Gates Rubber Company in Galesburg for 24 years and retired in 1989.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Galesburg.  She was a member of the Bethel Shrine #27, Rebecca Park D.A.R. Chapter, Galesburg Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star #235, American Legion Auxiliary #285, and Women of the Moose #115 all in Galesburg.  She was a member and past president of the F.O.E. Auxiliary in Galesburg and a member of the F.O.E. #150 in Burlington, Iowa.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel.  Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel.  Rev. Vince Rohn will officiate.  Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery, Monmouth, Illinois.  Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
