Cindy worked as a postal clerk for the United States Postal Service for 37 years before retiring. After retirement, she worked at Burgland Drug Store and HyVee. She was raised and educated in Galesburg, graduating from Costa Catholic High School.

Cindy truly loved spending time with her family and friends. Her friends provided much love and support to her during her struggles with cancer, and she was always appreciative of that. She enjoyed shopping, movies, reading, musicals, traveling, eating out, and Native American art. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
