Illinois’ Attorney General Kwame Raoul has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Democrat says after “experiencing minor symptoms over the weekend” he was tested Monday and informed Tuesday that he tested positive for the coronavirus.
Raoul says he has been self-isolating since the onset of symptoms.
He says authorities are in the process of notifying individuals he may have come into contact with him so that they can self-isolate and seek telehealth guidance.
Raoul says so far his symptoms have been mild and says he’s fortunate to “be otherwise healthy” and am following “recommendations to protect those around me.”
