CHICAGO (AP) – Police say two people were killed and another was seriously injured when an SUV crashed along a Chicago expressway, halting traffic for hours on the city’s South Side. Illinois State Police said the SUV was traveling at high speed when the driver lost control and the vehicle slammed into a concrete barrier about 11 p.m. Tuesday, flipped and became pinned against a pole. Firefighters extricated the driver and passengers, who were trapped inside the crushed vehicle. Police say two people were taken to a hospital before being pronounced dead, while a third was being treated for serious injuries.
