Last Friday, February 26th, just before 8:00 pm, Galesburg Police responded to Pearl Street just north of East Main street for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers met with the homeowner who told police numerous people were home at the time. A reported 4 or 5 shots were heard and no one was injured. The homeowner showed police security footage of a white SUV with black rims and dark tinted windows stop outside the residence, fire several shots at the house and then drive off, according to police reports. One individual who was inside the house at the time of the shooting told police he saw the suspect SUV drive by four or five times before the shooting occurred. The investigation is ongoing.
