Brenda K. Barron, 51, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 2:48 p.m., Sunday, April 25, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on January 24, 1970, in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Robert E. and Linda Lou (Nesbitt) Sells. Brenda was raised and educated in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth High School.
Brenda married Roger Barron on November 17, 2006, in Monmouth, IL; he survives.
Brenda worked at the AmericInn in Monmouth for a few years. She later worked at Farmland Foods in Monmouth for several years until her health declined. She liked to paint. Most of all, Brenda enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving Brenda is her husband, Roger Barron of Monmouth, IL; her daughter, April (Moussa) Katile of Monmouth, IL; her sons, Matthew Burgess of Galesburg, IL, Tyler Burgess of Charlotte, NC; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara (Juan) Pinedo of Monmouth, IL, Billie (Jeff) Conchas of Iowa; one brother, Benjamin (Jamie) Valdez of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda (Nesbitt) Sells, and sister, Becky Linz.
Cremation rites have been accorded. No visitation or services are planned at this time. A private family interment in Monmouth Cemetery will take place at a later date.
