JoAnn Davis, 80 of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away at 3:40 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021, at OSF Healthcare St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.
She was born June 22, 1940, in Crystal City, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph and Effie (Morrow) Lingle. She married Roger A. Davis Sr. on December 10, 1950, in Hillsboro, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents and five sisters.
JoAnn is survived by one daughter, Ramona (Kory) Tinkham of Avon, Illinois; one son, Roger A. (Wendy) Davis Jr. of Sedgewickville, Missouri. JoAnn is survived by eight grandchildren, Shayli and Payton Florine, Lukas and Ty Tinkham, Joshua Davis, Dylan, and Lindsey Giger, Trinity Davis, great-grandsons Levi Haertling, Elisha Davis, and five additional great-grandchildren. Also, surviving are three sisters, Janet Walker, Joette Nanney, and Joline Alexander, all of Festus, Missouri.
She graduated from Crystal City High School. She worked as an accounting clerk in the St. Louis area. She had lived in Galesburg since 2001 and was of the Baptist faith. JoAnn enjoyed crocheting and working on puzzles of all kinds.
As she requested, cremation will be accorded. Private family services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in DeSoto, Missouri. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel is assisting her family with arrangements.
