
A quartet of arrests was made around 1:00 am on Saturday, April 24th by Galesburg Police after a traffic stop on East Main Street. A sedan was stopped after making an illegal right turn and numerous open alcohol containers were seen in plain view. GPD has had numerous encounters with most of the individuals inside the car. The driver, 26-year old Deqwon Williams of Galesburg was arrested for a valid McDonough County Warrant. One passenger, 25-year old Kamari Morris of Galesburg was arrested for a Knox County Warrant with a $25,000 bond. Morris initially gave police a false name but had to look up the spelling of it off Facebook. Another passenger, 26-year old Cordero Wright of Galesburg was arrested for a valid Knox County Warrant for retail theft with a $20,000 bond. GPD also located a firearm under the front passenger seat, and it was determined that 25-year old Davon Barber of Galesburg was the one who stashed it. Barber was arrested for being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm and for Defacing a Firearm. A fifth, female passenger was questioned by police and released.
