Police respond to a person down on Soangetaha Road

Galesburg Police on Thursday, April 29th responded to the 400 block of Soangetaha Road around 9:45pm for a person down. Police arrived and observed a female subject lying in the parking lot crying out in pain – her left foot was actively bleeding, according to police reports. The 35-year old female victim told police she got into an altercation with another female and ended up on the ground. She did not know who the other female was. When the other female left, she got into an SUV and backed up over the leg of the female on the ground. The female victim did not know the make, model, or color of the SUV, couldn’t remember how long ago the altercation took place and did not recall anyone else in the parking lot at the time. The incident happened at Kiwanis park, and the female victim couldn’t remember how she got to Soangetaha Road. Police are investigating the incident.
