Officials have identified the deceased man in his 20’s that last week was located along railroad tracks near the Knox-Warren county line.
Warren County Sheriff Martin Edwards says the deceased is 26-year-old Michael Johnson of Joliet.
Investigators found that Johnson was an AMTRAK Passenger on Aug. 11, the same day he was found dead.
His train ticket had a destination of Chicago and passed through Warren County around 1 p.m.
The Sherrif’s Department and Coroner’s Office in Warren County, as well as Illinois State Police, are still investigating why Johnson left the moving train.
Johnson’s autopsy results are still pending.
