Henderson County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a 25-year-old Minnesota man who had a warrant for violating conditions of his release from the Minnesota Department of Corrections.
Anthony Phelps of Willmar, Minnesota was initially charged with driving while license revoked and leaving the scene of an accident.
Henderson County Sheriff’s Deputies received a call of a motor vehicle accident on IL Route 116, with a witness saying that saw a man walking from the scene towards Warren County.
Warren County was made aware and a Deputy located Phelps walking, unharmed.
Phelps later admitted to driving the vehicle and leaving the scene.
Phelps is currently held in the Henderson County Jail on no bond.
