In a battle for second place in the Western Big 6, the Galesburg Silver Streaks boys basketball team fell to the Rock Island Rocks, 84-63. The Streaks were without senior Koen Derry, which affected the rhythm of the team. The Rocks were effective in their shot making as they hand the Streaks their second loss in conference play.
The Streaks are now 15-3 on the season and 4-2 in the conference.
Brad Bennewitz and Jeremy Pickrel selected Jeremiah Babers as the Dave’s Auto Body Crunch-Time Player of the Game as he performed well in a different role as the main leader of the team.
