Dr. Craig Wilson has joined the OSF St. Mary Medical Center team after the Galesburg native was terminated from Cottage Hospital following their closure.
Galesburg native Wilson told WGIL that he was drawn to practice in Galesburg to be closer to family and because of the need for orthopedic surgeons in this region.
St. Mary President Lisa DeKezel says they are thrilled to welcome Wilson because they know he “cares deeply about our community and his patients.
DeKezel adds that Wilson’s expertise will add to an already strong line-up of board-certified orthopedic physicians and surgeons at OSF HealthCare.
OSF says Wilson is trained to meet the unique needs of children, teens, and adults who have highly complex conditions.
He considers himself a “people person”, and says he strives to listen and help each person address their individual needs and goals – whether that’s getting back on the field, or being able to sit comfortably in the bleachers without being in pain.”
