Edward L. Vallas, 62, of East Peoria passed away at his home on February 2, 2022.
Ed was born on October 11, 1959, in Galesburg. He was the son of Deno and June (Elvey) Vallas. He married Carol (Peters) Slagel on August 31, 2001, they later divorced. He is survived by his siblings, Evelyn Johnston and Michael Vallas, both of Galesburg, and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Nancy Jo.
Ed graduated from Williamsfield High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Ed was a semi-truck driver for Halvor Lines for many years. He enjoyed playing pool, darts, and going fishing. He was a very unique individual.
Cremation rites have been accorded. No services are planned at this time. A private burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date.
