Timothy Alden Lair, 58, of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at the OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.
Tim was born September 7, 1963, in Moline, IL to Jerry and Virginia (Guldenzopf) Lair. He was a graduate of ROVA High School. Tim later joined the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country as a Jet Mechanic. He held several occupations in the local area including being a diesel mechanic, truck driver, and farmhand. Tim married Jennifer May Meminger on July 25, 1992, in Galesburg.
He enjoyed fishing and being in the great outdoors, working on cars, and playing with his grandchildren.
Tim is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Lair of Galesburg; 2 daughters, Brittany (and Seth) Johnson of Williamsfield, Emily (and Dustin) Tucker of Peoria; 2 grandchildren, Alister and Isabelle Johnson of Williamsfield; father, Jerry Lair of Rio; sister, Lorie (and Michael) Larsen of Galesburg; brother, Jeff (and Tracy) Lair of Galesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Lair; maternal grandparents, Leland and Alice Guldenzopf; and his paternal grandparents, Elis and Adda Lair.
Cremation rites are accorded with the Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home in Alpha, Illinois. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be left to the Disabled American Veterans organization. Online condolences can be made at www.petersonwallinknox.com
