A 42-year-old Galesburg man is dead after reported gunfire Friday evening.
According to a police department release, Tommie L. Martin was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso in the 600-block of West Brooks Street.
Martin was transported to OSF St. Mary Medical Center where he later was declared deceased.
The Illinois State Police and Knox County Sheriff’s Office are assisting GPD with the investigation.
