Jay Shidler was Mr. Basketball in Illinois in 1976 for the Lawrenceville Indians. He scored 48 points in a semifinal loss to the R.O.V.A. Tigers in the state tournament. He went on to win a national championship with the University of Kentucky in 1978. He has written a book, “Blonde Bomber A Ride with Shide” where he chronicles his basketball life and beyond. Jay joined Tom Meredith on “Galesburg Live” to talk about his life and the book.
