The new OSF Promptcare will open at the former Galesburg Cottage Hospital building starting this Saturday at 7 a.m.
It was announced last month that the OSF Promptcare on the St. Mary Medical Center campus would move into what was Cottage Hospital’s emergency room.
OSF in a release that the space is being upgraded to better serve patients and will provide a larger capacity for urgent care services, including on-site lab and imaging, for Galesburg and surrounding communities.
The existing PromptCare space on the St. Mary Medical main campus will be the future home of specialty and other departments as OSF continues to recruit talent.
OSF PromptCare sites are walk-in clinics for assessing and treating minor illnesses and injuries when a patient’s primary care providers are unavailable.
Another change for OSF in the region is the OSF Primary Care clinic in Knoxville that’s moved from 104 S. Broad Street to its new home at 904 E. Main Street.
