
Bonnie Lou Faulkner, 64, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 2:05 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2022, at home.
Bonnie was born December 11, 1957, in Avon, Illinois, the daughter of Orrin Clifford and Donna Mae (Izer) Hammond. After graduating from ROVA High School in 1976, Bonnie married Carl William Faulkner on May 19, 1978, in Galesburg, Illinois.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 44 years, Carl of Galesburg; one son, Thomas Faulkner of Monroe, Louisiana; one daughter, Crystal (Bruce) Woerly of Galesburg; and two grandchildren, Silas Woerly and Zoey Woerly. Bonnie is also survived by her twin brother, Ronnie (Mabel) Hammond of Galesburg; and one sister, Paula Sargeant of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Bonnie worked for a few years as a nurse’s aide but spent the majority of her time as a stay-at-home mom, caring for their children and the family home. Bonnie enjoyed reading and collecting books, especially Stephen King novels. She also enjoyed listening to music, collecting many different types of knick-knacks, and riding with Carl on their motorcycle.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2022, at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Cremation will be accorded following visitation. A celebration of life will be held following the visitation at the Henderson Town Hall from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes.
