
Galesburg Police on Thursday, October 6th, responded to the 1500 block of Mulberry Street in response to a report of two motor vehicle being burglarized. Police met with a 33-year-old female and a 34-year-old man who reported her wallet was taken from her minivan and $300 was taken from the man’s pickup truck. Both vehicles were left unlocked overnight.
Also on Thursday, police responded to the 300 block of Belle View Court and met with a 37-year-old female who reported someone burglarized her Chevy SUV. The victim noticed the vehicle’s trunk was left open. Missing from the vehicle was a pair of Samsung headphones, a pair of Coach sunglasses, and loose change. The victim’s security camera doorbell showed some movement inside the vehicle and the trunk opening, but no suspects.
Police also responded to the 200 block of South Whitesboro where a 43-year-old female reported two more vehicles being burglarized. The only things missing from a Ford sedan and Jeep SUV were $8 in cash and a $5 McDonald’s gift card. Both of those vehicles were also left unlocked overnight.
