
Karen Marie Kelly, 82, of Morton, IL, formerly of Galesburg, IL, passed away at 10:22 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2022, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice House in Peoria, IL.
She was born March 26, 1940, in Roseville, IL, the daughter of Rex and Opal (Anderson) Lozier. She married Frank F. Kelly on June 19, 1959, at Laurel United Methodist Church in Springfield, IL and he preceded her in death on June 21, 2019.
Karen is survived by her children; Kathryn L. Kolls of Allen, TX, W. Kevin (Marquitta) Kelly of Cleveland, TN, Linda M. (Hector) Lopez of Morton, IL; grandchildren, Nikki and Jared of Allen, TX, Brint of East Brainerd, TN, Brianna of Harrison, TN, Brittney of Dothan, AL, and Andrea of Morton; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Darliss Page of Roseville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Karen graduated from Roseville High School in 1958. After she and Frank were married, she moved to the Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls, MT, where he was stationed. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her children. Later she worked for Harper Wyman for 29 years until her retirement.
She enjoyed helping Frank with gardening and traveling. She was interested in photography and genealogy and her greatest joy was the time spent with her family.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 p.m-4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the Roseville Community Center, Roseville, IL. The interment will be in the Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Roseville Community Center or OSF Hospice and left in the care of the funeral home.
