Galesburg Police on Monday morning, October 17th, responded to the 100 block of North Prairie Street for another report of a stolen vehicle. A 53-year-old man told police his 2014 Nissan Altima was taken from the parking lot. The man had left the sedan unlocked with the engine running – he was letting the car warm up before departing for work around 5:30 that morning. The Nissan Altima is described as being tan in color with a black front and white rims. The investigation is ongoing. Since early September, WGIL has reported on at least six motor vehicles being stolen in the area. Also since early September, WGIL has reported on at least nearly two dozen vehicles being burglarized or attempted to be burglarized in the Galesburg area.
