Galesburg Police on Saturday morning were dispatched to OSF Promptcare in the 600 block of North Kellogg Street for a report of indecent exposure. Officers arrived and made contact with medical staff who said a 21-year-old Galesburg man came into Promptcare to have some scars looked at, according to police reports, and began “touching himself” while in an exam room. A 31-year-old female nurse said the male subject had both hands down his pants while in the exam room and was masturbating. The nurse repeatedly told the man to stop. The nurse then brought another nurse into the room and again had to repeatedly tell the man to remove his hands from his pants. The man was banned from OSF Promptcare. After checking on numerous addresses for the man, Galesburg Police made contact with family members who brought the man to the Public Safety Building. The man first acted confused, but would later apologize for his actions. He was charged with Indecent Exposure and processed at the Knox County Jail.
