Galesburg martial arts school owner arrested on sexual assault charges in Warren County

A Galesburg resident and owner of a local martial arts and self defense school is facing multiple criminal sexual assault and abuse charges in Warren County following three alleged incidents that took place in Monmouth, according to Warren County State’s Attorney Thomas R. Siegel.

Beau W. Admire, 42, Galesburg, was arrested Nov. 2 in Knox County on a $100,000 warrant for two counts of Criminal Sexual Assault and one count of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse. All three charges are Class 1 felonies which carry a sentence of between 4-15 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Probation is not available on the Criminal Sexual Assault charges and if convicted, the defendant would be required to serve no less than 85% of his sentence.

The charges stem from three separate incidents alleged to have taken place in Monmouth. The Criminal Sexual Assault charges each allege an act of sexual penetration with a minor over whom the defendant held a position of trust, authority, or supervision. The charge of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse alleges an act of sexual conduct with a minor over whom the defendant held a position of trust, authority, or supervision.

Admire was released after posting a cash bond. His first appearance in Warren County is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Dec 2. According to court records, Admire does not yet have an attorney in this case.

Admire is the owner and coach of Badger Combatives, 313 E. Main St., in Galesburg. According to a 2019 WGIL story, classes at Badger Combatives range from toddler self-defense to adult self-defense, along with women’s cardio kickboxing.
