Calico Cat – A Gift Boutique is hosting their annual Ladies Night from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22 at their storefront on Seminary Street. This shopping experience features fun raffles for Brumate, CC Beanie, Christmas decorations and more. Plus, there will be contests and freebies! Santa will be in attendance with presents just for you! Come wearing your ugliest sweater and leave the kids home, this is an adult-only evening that will kick off the holiday shopping season. Wednesday: Thanksgiving Eve Libations & Celebrations
This Thanksgiving Eve, celebrate responsibly at locations around Knox County, hosting live entertainment and drink specials. Start at 156 East in Downtown Galesburg to wish Pippi from Pippi & Daniel a happy birthday at their Friendsgiving Eve, from 6 to 9 p.m. Then, head to Big Catz BBQ in Knoxville for a performance by Opey & His Taylors, from 8 to 11 p.m. Back in Galesburg, both Cactus Country and The Corral host popular local bands, Inlaws -N- Outlaws and Backstabbin’ Betty, beginning at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., respectively.
Saturday: Shop Local this Small Business Saturday
Shop small this Saturday and support local businesses! Celebrate Small Business Saturday in Knox County, this Saturday, Nov. 26, showing your support to the business, their owners, and all they do for our community. Friday through Sunday: Julmarknad returns to Bishop Hill
Prepare for the holidays by attending Julmarknad, or Christmas market, in Bishop Hill! Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The daily attractions include Swedish folk characters, traditional Swedish holiday decorations, holiday music, craft activities, and Christmas Gifts for sale.
