The Galesburg Silver Streaks boys basketball team fall to the Chicago Wells Raiders in the Galesburg Thanksgiving Tournament, 78-60. The Streaks kept things close in the first half going into halftime down 1; however, Wells took over in the second half. The Raiders outscored the Streaks 19-7 in the third quarter and took advantage of 20 turnovers committed by the Streaks.
The Silver Streaks go to 1-1 on the season.
Brad Bennewitz and Jason Wessels selected Nolan Carl as the Dave’s AutoBody Crunch-Time Player of the Game. Carl hit an important three late in the first half to bring the score down to one point going into halftime. He finished with 5 points, 5 assist, and 8 rebounds.
