The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls basketball team take second place in the Mattoon Holiday Tournament after losing to the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs, 51-41. The Streaks got off to a fast start but cooled off during the duration of the game to suffer their first and only defeat of the tournament. The Streaks went 4-1 in tournament play bringing their record to 16-4 on the season.
The Dave’s AutoBody Crunch-Time Player of the Game was Kiarra Kilgore who started the scoring early on during the Streaks hot start. She finished with 23 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal.
