Monmouth man facing Class X charges after chase with Deputies

Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Monmouth man on charges including armed violence, and aggravated possession of meth with intent to deliver.

26-year-old Brendan Jared-Johnson also had a parole warrant from the Illinois Department of Corrections, where he served a sentence for felony use/possession of a firearm out of Warren County.

Warren County Deputies spotted Jared-Johnson’s vehicle at 1:15 a.m. on Saturday traveling at a high-rate of speed on Illinois Route 116 near 130th St.

Deputies tried to stop the vehicle, but it fled with the driver attempting to hide at a local farmstead.

The vehicle had been abandoned but the driver was found nearby, as was a handgun, cash, a large quantity of meth and other paraphernalia.

Deputies also believe two other people may have been in the vehicle and escaped on foot.

Jared-Johnson’s complete list of charges includes armed violence, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a controlled substance, and aggravated possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.
