The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls basketball team lost a tough game to the Alleman Pioneers in a Western Big 6 Conference match-up at John Thiel Gym on Saturday, 45 – 42. It was the final regular season home game for the Streaks who are now 23-6 on the season and and 9-4 in the conference. With the loss, they are no longer tied with Geneseo for 1st place in the Western Big 6.
For leading the charge in Galesburg’s comeback attempt in the 4th quarter, Capre Fergusonn was named the Dave’s Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game. Capre scored 7 points of the Streaks’ 10 in the 4th. Overall, she finished with 15 points, 3 assists, 1 steal and 2 rebounds for the game.
