A wanted Knoxville man was taken into custody on Thursday. Knox County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a home in the 800 block of Mine Road in rural Knoxville to locate the subject. Few details are known, but according to a press release from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted to make contact with 34-year-old Bradley Canier and pushed a chain-link fence and a metal roll bar towards officers. Two deputies were injured during the process. Canier continually attempted to flee but was eventually detained. Once in custody, Canier gave deputies a false name and was found to be in possession of 5.1 grams of methamphetamine. The two deputies that were injured were treated at OSF St. Mary’s Medical Center and released. Canier was charged with a Knox County warrant that carries a bond of $100,000, Possession of Methamphetamine, Resisting a Peace Officer, and Obstructing Justice. He was transported to the Knox County Jail.
