Jason Clark knocked a two-run double in the bottom of the first in game one to help the Prairie Fire to an early 3-0 lead. Knox added a run in the second.
The Muskies got on the board with a run in the third and another in the fourth to cut the deficit to two. Etienne Thomas hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the fourth to give the Prairie Fire some cushion.
Knox added three more runs in the fifth to take a 10-2 lead. Lakeland pushed across a run in the sixth, but the Prairie Fire responded with three more and held on for the 13-3 victory.

The Prairie Fire scored a run in the third inning on an Andrew Garrett single and the Muskies tied the game in the fourth on a pair of Knox errors.
Pinch runner JT Schoessel stole second in the top of the seventh inning and an errant throw advanced him to third. He came around to score on a wild pitch for the winning run.
Garrett led Knox with four hits on the day and Holden Jones added three hits. Ethan Rompala-Matthews picked up a pair of doubles.
“We played much better today after the disappointing loss last night,” said associate head coach James Clark. “We executed much better on offense and got some more great pitching performances. We still have some things to clean up on the bases, but a step in the right direction.”
Knox returns to action on March 16 as they play Central College from Iowa.
