An intoxicated Kewanee woman was arrested yesterday after being found nude inside a Galesburg City Hall restroom. Officers responded to City Hall on West Tompkins Street and made contact with the 43-year-old woman who was sitting outside. The woman admitted to being under the influence of alcohol and methamphetamine. With her was a water bottle containing a brown alcoholic beverage. City Hall employees told police they saw the woman in the restroom completely naked, attempting to shower in the public bathroom. The woman also admitted that she was being a nuisance to the public, according to police reports. When police informed the woman she was under arrest, she began to pull away from officers, and police were forced to lower her to the ground to be detained. She was transported to the Knox County Jail and charged with Public Intoxication and Resisting a Peace Officer.
