The Knox County Sherriff’s Department has provided an update on a deceased individual found in a vehicle Wednesday morning.
The victim is 64-year-old Michael Patterson from Galesburg.
Knox County deputies responded to Patterson’s vehicle in the early morning hours Wednesday in the 1300 block of Knox Highway 25.
Patterson died from a vehicle fire that was not related to a crash and foul play is not suspected.
