
Quadril Temitope Lawal, 25, of Galesburg, Illinois and Ibadan Nigeria passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 23, 2023, in Rock Island, Illinois.
Quadril was born May 20, 1998, in Ibadan Nigeria the son of Oyelade Taofeek Tayo and Oyelade Oluwakemi Oke. He is survived by his parents; his fiancé, Ra’Keisha Cunningham; his son, Ra’Keem and excited for the arrival of his daughter, Quadria, due in October; his biological mother, Omowumi Lawal of Nigeria. Quadril was the oldest of eight siblings they include his four brothers, Qudus Oyelade, Hussein Oyelade, Usman Oyelade and Wasiu Lawal all of Nigeria and three sisters, Muinat Lawal, Aishat Oyelade and Rofiat Lawal all of Nigeria. He is preceded in death by his biological father.
Quadril came to the United States in 2016 to attend Knox College. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Business Management (Accounting and Finance) with a minor in economics in 2020. While at Knox he played on their Division III soccer team serving as team captain, midfielder and playmaker. With his love for soccer, he was a mentor and coach for the youth soccer program at the YMCA of Knox County from 2017-2020. Quadril served a sales internship with Taovick Favor International in Ibadan, Nigeria. He was currently working for NRS fixture group traveling to Wal-Marts assisting with overnight renovations.
Quadril had a love for traveling, cooking and was passionate about financial investments.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon Friday, September 8, 2023, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Funeral Services will follow at Noon at the chapel. Rev. Raylynn Cunningham will officiate. The burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the family.
