VNA Community Services of Knox County is on a mission to raise $25,000 by the end of 2024 for their facility to get a new roof.
The VNA has been a vital hub for seniors for decades but its building on Grand Avenue is in need of a new roof to “ensure the safety and comfort” of its clients.
The “Raise the Roof” campaign welcomes contributions from businesses, organizations, and individuals who want to make a positive impact on local seniors.
The Galesburg Elks Lodge #894 recently contributed $1,000 towards the project.
VNA Executive Director Michael Bennett says the Elks gift is the “first substantial contribution to the “Raise the Roof” campaign.”
Bennett says, “The new roof is not just a construction project; it’s a testament to the care and dedication we have for our senior community members.”
The VNA offers a variety of programs and services aimed at enhancing the well-being and quality of life for older adults in the community.
