Here are 5 things to do in Galesburg this weekend, courtesy Galesburg Tourism & Visitors Bureau.
Friday through Sunday: Sing We Now of a Christmas Carol
In 1843 Charles Dickens penned the most famous Christmas tale of all time , “A Christmas Carol”. This timeless story has been retold over 100 times through movies, ballet, opera, and even video games! Now, Choral Dynamics will bring the choral version to the Orpheum stage this December with, “SING WE NOW OF A CHRISTMAS CAROL”. Scrooge, Tiny Tim, Marley, and all the characters you know will tell the musical ghost story of Christmas past, present and future. Song selections like “A Christmas Carol”, “Sing We Now of Christmas”, “Canticle of Carols”, and “God Bless Us Everyone” will bring the spirit of the holiday season to our audience. Dickens wrote this novella with the intent that it would “…open the hearts of the prosperous towards the poor..” Join the voices of Choral Dynamics as they bring this holiday message to life with “SING WE NOW OF A CHRISTMAS CAROL”!
