Knox County Sheriff’s Deputies, Galesburg Police, and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Taskforce arrested a Galesburg man on Wednesday.
55-year old Timothy Lucas of Galesburg was arrested on a probation violation warrant out of Utah.
Lucas was also a suspect in an ongoing investigation into stolen batteries from semi-trucks and farm machinery during harvest.
Lucas was found to be in possession of semi batteries at the time of his arrest.
Lucas is currently held at the Knox County Jail, awaiting extradition to Utah.
A release says Knox County Sheriff Jack Harlan takes crimes against “hard working farmers very seriously”, and is “committed to all victims of property crimes.”
Lucas was previously convicted of burglary and sentenced to 7 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections out of Knox County.
