A person with local ties has selected to lead both the Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce and Maple City Area Partnership.

Andrea Monroe was recently appointed the executive director of the two agencies by the Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors.

“We are excited to welcome Andrea to our team,” said Michele Bizarri, Monmouth Area Chamber of  Commerce board president. “Her leadership and passion for community engagement align perfectly with our mission to support local businesses and promote economic growth. We look forward to this new partnership to create more opportunities for local businesses.”

Monroe resides in Abingdon with her two sons, Wyatt and Blake.

In her role as executive director, Monroe will oversee the day-to-day operations, work closely with members and small business owners to address their needs, act as a spokesperson and liaison with local government agencies, promote tourism, plan events and lead initiatives that enhance the overall community development in Monmouth.

“The Maple City Area Partnership appreciates the relationship it has established with the Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce that has resulted in our combined ability to have a full-time executive director for both organizations,” says Vanessa Wetterling, Maple City Area Partnership board president.

“This collaborative effort has enabled us to recruit a qualified professional to serve the needs of the Chamber as well as the economic development activities for Warren County. MCAP is looking forward with high expectation that Andrea Monroe will bring skills, abilities, and motivation to perform the duties of this dual executive director position very well.”
