Tuesday: Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice
Experience the brand new Dinosaurs: Fire and Ice exhibit at Discover Depot on January 23 through May 3! Doors open at 9:30 a.m., and will be hosted on the 2nd floor. This exhibit is included with general admission of $11 per child! Purchase your tickets today, at the link here!
Thursday: Pickleball
Join the City of Galesburg Parks and Recreation at the Lakeside Recreation Center for Pickleball every Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.! Play on our portable pickleball court or use tennis courts with our markers. Use our paddles or bring your own. Pickleballs will be provided! Cost is $9 per person, per hour. Call Lakeside Recreation Facility at 309-345-3683 to reserve your spot!
Thursday: Thursday Jazz Night
Thursday nights are Jazz Nights at the Community Arts Center! Come hear the Knox Cherry Street Combo on Thursdays from 7 to 10 p.m. This is a free event and all ages are welcome. We have a full bar and you can order food from any of our fantastic local restaurants (some within walking distance) and have “Supper at the Center.” (No outside drinks allowed.) We are located at 349 E Main St. (the northwest corner of Main and Seminary Street. Look for the open sign.
Saturday: Claire Craig Evans Book Signing
Join us at Wordsmith Bookshoppe for a hilarious afternoon of book talk, signing and a taste of tea! Claire Craig Evans will be discussing and signing copies of High Tea and Low Down on Saturday, January 27th from 1 to 3 p.m. Read the book description in the image below to learn more about her work!
Saturday: Music Trivia Fundraiser for the Snowmobile Club
Raise money for the Prairie Drifters Snowmobile Club, while testing your music trivia knowledge! Saturday, January 27 at 7 p.m., come on down to Cedar Creek Hall for connection, community, and friendly competition! Create tables of 8 team members, for $10 per person.
