A former Lewistown High School teacher and basketball coach has been charged with crimes including official misconduct, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and unlawful delivery of alcohol to a minor.
The Fulton County State’s Attorney brought these charges against 27-year-old Yanni Saddler after an investigation by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.
A release from Sheriff Jon Webb says that Saddler had engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a juvenile student.
Saddler resigned from her positions with Lewistown Community Unit School District No. 97 on Jan.11 after an investigation into misconduct.
Previously Saddler had admitted to providing alcohol to a student outside of school.
The most serious charge she faces is a Class 3 felony of official misconduct which carries a penalty of 5 to 10 years in prison and fines up to $25,000.
