A City of Galesburg public transportation survey is now available for citizens to provide feedback on public transportation services in Galesburg and Knox County.

The City was awarded a Technical Services Grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation to complete a comprehensive operations analysis.

The firm Nelson-Nygaard was selected to implement the analysis and is conducting the public transportation survey as one component of that study.

Galesburg and Knox County residents and stakeholders are encouraged to participate in the survey to share their thoughts, suggestions, and concerns regarding public transportation.

City of Galesburg Transit Manager Kraig Boynton says “We’re thrilled to start this transit study for Galesburg public transportation, as it presents a pivotal opportunity to reimagine our services and better serve our community,”

The survey, accessible online, serves as a crucial tool for gauging public opinion and shaping the future of transportation in Galesburg and Knox County.

Participants are encouraged to provide feedback on various aspects of the transit system, including routes, schedules, and accessibility features.

The survey will be available through April 12, 2024.
