One of the singers who was advertised to be at the Knox County Fair is having to pull out after suffering a heart attack.
The fair and representatives for singer/rap star Colt Ford say he fell ill April 4th at a show in Arizona, and remains hospitalized in Scottsdale in an Intensive Care Unit.
Because of that, all Ford’s performances through the end of August are being canceled. That includes the performance at the fair with Gretchen Wilson and Eddie Montgomery. It’s believed the show will still go on, but without Ford.
The performance in the grandstand is still slated for July 11th and tickets are still available.
The full statement from the fair and Ford’s representatives is below.
This comes as the fair, in recent days, has had to discourage purchasing tickets through a third party, since they can’t be guaranteed.
Galesburg Radio’s FM 95 is one of the sponsors of the event.
