A 24-year-old Altona man has been identified as the victim killed in a single-vehicle ATV crash Saturday night near Altona.
Angus Carlson, 24, of rural Altona died as a result of the accident according to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. The crash occurred at approximately 10:46 p.m. Saturday in the 2800 block of Knox County Road 900E, which is north of Galesburg
Carlson was driving the ATV when it struck an embankment in a field.
According to his obituary, Carlson was a 2017 graduate of ROWVA High School.
Also injured in the crash was Logan Meier, age 19, of Cambridge, according to the sheriff’s office.
The accident remains under investigation by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team.
