A pair of men were arrested Tuesday after allegedly assaulting two other people.
The Knox County Sheriffs Department says deputies and Knoxville first responders went to a location in the Knoxville area, and learned that a male had trauma to his face, and a female had a cut to a shin.
The male was taken to the hospital.
Deputies later found a vehicle that had two other males inside, with the driver having a cut to his cheek, claiming he had just been in a fight.
The two people – Cade Nuss, 22, and James Nuss, 24 – allegedly assaulted the victims with a bat and a golf club.
Both are jailed on preliminary charges including Aggravated Battery, Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, and Mob Action.
Officials say a judge Wednesday denied a petition by the Knox County State’s Attorney to hold the two in jail until trial. The Nuss’ are released.
