Alvarado, Tanner

Tanner D. Alvarado, age 32, of Gilson, Illinois, died on Sunday, April 28, 2024, in a boating accident in Shelbyville Lake in Shelbyville, Illinois.

Tanner was born on May 24, 1991 in Galesburg, Illinois the son of Loiz and Colette (Stegall) Alvarado. He attended and graduated from Knoxville High School, the class of 2009. He married is best friend Adryanne Phipps on May 25, 2019 in Galesburg, Illinois, Illinois. 

Surviving is his wife, Adryanne of rural Gilson, Illinois; his parents, Lois and Colette Alvarado of Gildon, Illinois, Maternal grandparents Claudette and Dale Stegall of Gilson, Illinois; paternal grandmother, Isadora Alvarado of Galesburg, Illinois; and a niece Mylissa Alvarado of Abingdon, Illinois. He also had three pets, a cat, Moonshine and two dogs, Rebel and Timber. He was preceded is death by a brother, Jimmy and paternal grandfather, Guadalupe Alvarado. 

He worked as a contractor for Brideson in Maqoun, Illinois. He loved to fish and working on vehicles and his mud truck.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Graveside Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Gilson Cemetery, Gilson, Illinois with Revs. Jeff and Chelsea Lampen officiating. A Fellowship will follow the graveside services at the Gilson Fire Station in Gilson, Illinois. In-lieu flowers memorial may be made to the Family or to the Gilson Fire Stations.
