The Galesburg man who had been hospitalized since being injured in a fatal shooting almost two weeks ago is now in custody.
Galesburg Police and Knox County Jail records both confirm Chase Houlden, Jr., 19, was booked into the Knox County Jail Tuesday after being released from a Peoria hospital.
Court records do not have a first appearance scheduled yet, but do have Houlden facing charges of First Degree Murder, and two counts of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm.
The shooting happened June 7th near South and Pine Streets. Houlden had been taken to a local hospital before being transferred to Peoria, prior to officers’ arrival.
Cam’ron Glass, 18, was found dead inside a home by police.
