Some tornado warnings were issued close to the area Tuesday, but the biggest problem seems to be more heavy rain. later on in the night.
While one tornado report near the Quad Cities was sent to the National Weather Service Tuesday evening, that turned out to be unfounded based on damage and video from the area.
But, closer to our area, Mercer County received some thunderstorm-related tree damage.
Heavy rain was almost on par with the last time we had it. Several spots in Knox County reported between 1.25 inches of rain, and 1.6 inches. The same was said in McDonough County, according to storm reports submitted to the National Weather Service.
More rain is, unfortunately, in the forecast for Thursday, especially in the evening, which could put a damper on many Fourth of July plans.
