Second arrest made in fatal June shooting on South Street

The Knox County Sheriffs Department says they and U.S. Marshals have made a second arrest in connection with a fatal shooting on South Street in Galesburg more than a month ago.

Deputies say the agencies arrested Gabriel Moore, 19, Thursday at an apartment on Davis Street, and took him to the Knox County Jail. He was arrested on a warrant charging him with murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm, and aggravated Battery.

The shooting June 7th near South and Pine Streets claimed the life of Cam’ron Glass, 18.

Galesburg Police have not yet said what caused the shooting, which also injured Chase Houlden Jr., 19, who is now in jail facing charges of first degree murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm.

Houlden is scheduled to be in court July 22 for a preliminary hearing. No word on when Moore will be in court.
