Man injured in Monmouth shooting, no eyewitnesses available

One person was injured after a reported shooting incident in Monmouth — and police say that’s about all they know.

Police Chief Joe Switzer says they were called to the incident around 3:30 Saturday afternoon on West Boston Avenue, near H Street.

A man — who was taken to the hospital — suffered a non-life-threatening leg injury and was treated and released.

Switzer says there’s just one problem: there weren’t any eyewitnesses, and the victim was uncooperative, so they don’t know what happened.

No arrests were made, nor charges filed.
